Just Like the Molave

from:

Like the Molave
(Excerpt)
Rafael Zulueta Da Costa

Just like the  molave

Strong in its own fiber; yes, like the molave!
Sprung from a strong race
Breathed to existence
Through God’s grace
Strong in its own fiber; yes, like the molave!
Wind may bend but can never break
Ready to face whatever it may take
Strong in its own fiber; yes, like the molave!
Life may be harsh and cruel sometimes
Know that everything is to make you sublime
 make you firm and rigid
Strong in its own fiber; yes, like the molave!

Just be true to others and especially to you
Love life and never be so blue
You may want to breakdown but never give up
You are stronger than what you think; stand up!
Have faith be bold acquire strength
Be Strong in your own fiber; yes, like the molave!

Captured Emotions

This picture paints a smile on my face. This picture probably is my first picture. I can’t stop staring at my image. A little baby carried by my mother with my older brothers. I delight at how I look like my mother when she was still her age at this time when the picture was taken. I can imagine how I am loved at this moment, being the first baby girl in the family. I wished my father is in this picture. I remember my childhood years.  I remember happy times. Loud laughters and big smiles.  When the things that could make us cry  aren’t piercing our hearts. At the same time, the picture makes me feel excited of motherhood. At my age now, I really look forward to being a mother someday. I am always fond of babies and the thought of having one of my own, with the man I love is a very pleasant thought for me.  Most importantly, I am thankful that God had given me an opportunity to live. And at this moment, I am thankful that he has given me the chance to feel how much I am loved.. by just looking at the picture.

#Prompt: A picture is worth more than a blank page. Take out an old album. Pick out photo #15. Look at the photo for 2 minutes then for 10 minutes, write all the feelings the photo makes you feel. DON’T CENSOR YOURSELF. JUST WRITE.

Good or Bad?

I say there is not really one person on earth that is truly good or truly bad. As human beings, we are made imperfect by a perfect God. Flaws and dark areas always exist in every aspect in the universe. Whether be it in things, events, ideas and most especially in human beings.
No one is really perfect. No matter how long we have known someone, no matter how good or how bad he is in our eyes, there will always be something that we don’t know. Good people do bad things like how bad people do good things. Oftentimes they are hidden.

Through it all, nobody is perfect. It all boils down, again, on our perceptions. We never know the real story behind every person’s story. There are good persons as well as bad persons, or we may call them such. But they are never purely that. They are still human, they have weaknesses, sensitive spots and good sides. We don’t have the right to judge, it is God’s.

#Prompt: Good versus Evil. Do they truly exist? Are they gray areas? Do good people do bad things?
