My First Love

You introduced life to me

Painted colors to each I see

First one to carry me and hold me high

Made me touch the stars and reach the skies

You cuddled me and tucked me in to sleep

The beautiful promises you said I keep

I always knew love because of you

The care and guidance so true

Little did I know you would never always be by my side

I wish to hang on to you oh so tight

But you belong to him and you need to go home

So I have to bear with this pain alone

I know now you’re happy as you deserve to be

But I trust that you will always be with me

I miss you, I love you and you will always be my first love

Until we meet again in heaven.
