Love, trust, and faithfulness
would be the main ingredients of my ideal marriage. We should both have jobs
and had earned quite a living before we had married to ensure the future of our
kids. Of course, an ideal marriage should have kids. Two or three would do. We
will have our own house and lot, a car, and everything that is quite
”sophisticated”. My partner would be someone who has known me for quite some
time. He can be my best friend, my lover and my brother at the same time.
Our partnership should be a bond
that makes the both of us grow individually and together as one. Each of us
should know how to compromise and sacrifice, understand and forgive, adjust and
trust. I know that no relationship is perfect and it would not always be a
smooth ride. A lot of marriages have been broken and sometimes it is a
realization for a fresh start, but most of the time it breaks the heart not
only of the two persons involved, but most especially their kids’ outlook of
love and marriage.
Lastly and most importantly, the
most ideal kind of partnership has God in the center. My partner and I should
love God, honor him and delight him more than anyone or anything else in this
world. We should both know that whatever differences we have and obstacles,
sufferings and challenges we may face, God is with us. In the center of our
relationship. And with that, we know we could make our perfectly imperfect
forever :)
